Sun, Moon and Umbrella, Dec 2015 – May 2019

My journey originates from a study trip in Akita and continues to a few other Japan cities.  These trips remind me, as an outsider, of the particularities and the mysteries in those cities.  Back home I look at these photos, and feel puzzled when memories and images intertwine.

My inspiration of the title “Sun, Moon and Umbrella” comes from a 1953 novel “Sun, Moon and Star” by Xu Su (徐速).

What do you recall when you see these images?

An exhibition to explore the relationship between people and places.  An exhibition about Japan.

 

提起日本，你會諗起咩？

一個以秋田作為起點嘅旅程，兩個來自香港藝術學院同RMIT嘅創作人，希望通過繪畫同攝影作品，讓觀眾重新想像地方和人嘅經歷同關係。

今次展出作品《日.月.傘》，靈感係來自徐速小說-星星·月亮·太陽。呢啲照片會令人諗起日本還是香港呢?
